Trisha Krishnan was born on 4 May 1983. But she is commonly known as Trisha. She is a very beautiful Indian actress and well-known model. She made her acting debut in the Tamil film industry with the movie Lesa Lesa. In 2010, she appeared in her Bollywood début in the film Khatta Meetha. And she made her Malayalam debut with the film Hey Jude in 2018.

Trisha was born to a Tamil Palakkad Iyer family of Krishnan and Uma in Chennai. She started her schooling at the Sacred Heart Matriculation School in Church Park, Chennai, and also completed her schooling in the same school. Then she continued her Bachelor’s course in Business Administration (BBA) at the Ethiraj College for Women in Chennai.

She entered into modeling and worked in many television commercials. In 1999, she won the Miss Salem beauty pageant, and in the same year won the Miss Madras contest. She also won the Miss India ofb2001 pageant from the Beautiful Smile award.

After she enters into modeling, she realized that she completes her studies first. She doesn’t give proper time to her education due to a very tough shooting schedule. So she attended summer classes to continue her education.

Ambassador of PETA:

Being an animal lover, Trisha became the Goodwill Ambassador of PETA in 2010. She took the place of Rani Mukherjee as the ambassador of Fanta India. And she took the place of Preity Zinta as the brand ambassador of Scooty Pep+. She took the place of Asin in the Fairever fairness cream commercial in 2011.

She started her acting career in the film Jodi. Then she worked in the Priyadarshan-directed film, Lesa Lesa. This film gave her too much fame and offered in the A R Rahman musical hit like a star in Enakku 20 Unakku 18 and which released in 2003. Manasellam film is her second project in which she has the main leading role.

The movie masala flick became the superhit film of the year and earned ₹16 crores. Then she worked in the movie Alai which became unluckily unsuccessful. Her debut in the Telugu film industry with romance-action film Varsham which was released in 2004 directed by M S Raju.

Failed to Succeed:

In the same year, she appeared in the action-comedy film Ghilli opposite Vijay. In the next two years, she had overall 12 releases. Her Tamil films Bheema and Kuruvi which were released in 2008 failed to succeed. But her next movie was Bujjigadu opposite Prabhas.

Her films Sarvam besides Arya and Sankham besides Gopichand which were released in 2009 were average grosser. She appeared in the 2010 Tamil romantic drama film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa as a Syrian Christian Malayali girl Jessie.

The film Namo Venkatesa released in 2010 in Telugu. In the same year, she worked in the movie Manmadhan Ambu.Her debut in the Bollywood film industry with superhit film Khatta Meetha in 2010.

In 2011 she had two commercially successful releases, one is the Telugu film Theenmaar and the other is the Tamil film Venkat Prabhu’s Mankatha. She appeared in two Telugu releases in 2012 and also in two Tamil releases in 2013.

Then she starred in the movies Yennai Arindhaal besides Ajith Kumar, Thoongavanam opposite Kamal Haasan, Bhooloham besides Jayam Ravi in Tamil in 2015. She also appeared in the horror film Aranmanai 2.

In 2018, she made her Malayalam debut with the film Hey Jude. She is working on three upcoming films, Bhogi, Garjanai, and Petta besides Rajinikanth.

Trisha lived with her mother and grandmother in Chennai. Her father died in October 2012. She is a multilinguist and talks in Hindi, Tamil, French, and English language.

Several Tamil filmmakers and actors including Kamal Hassan offered various roles in their films. But she denied it due to her concentration on Trisha’s career. She appeared with her only in a commercial advertisement. About her relationship with her mother, Trisha told her mother that She has been the pillar of my strength.

She stood by me like a rock through thick and thin. Everyone including my friends knows how I closed to my mom. On 23 January 2015, she engaged a Chennai-based businessman Varun Manian. In May 2015, she confirmed her marriage with him.
